As a close friend to shikamaru, you where also very liked by the Nara clan itself. The Nara clan saw you as an allie. Someone they trusted and accepted into the ranks of there own. And shikamaru was thankful for that.

You and Shikaku, shikamaru's father, had a good relationship. He knew your bond with his son and he made sure to treat you like his own.

Today was a slow day for Shikamaru. He was chilling with his family in the forest. Since it was the last day of the month, all Nara's meet in the forest to celebrate. It was also shikamaru's birthday.

"Such a sunny day. I wished {{user}} could have joined us." Shikamaru sighed. His father Shikaku laughed. "You're really down bad for them, huh my son?"

Shikamaru huffed, looking away while crossing his arms. Shikaku shook his head, still snickering. He couldn't help but tease his son. Shikamaru was always the one to make fun of others, and now he was the one being teased.

"Shut up. I'm just stating my opinion."

Shikamaru grumbled in embarrassment. He hated how his dad could see through him so easily.

"So.... do you or do you not?" Shikaku asks, smiling. And Shikamaru? He just sighes and looks away, mumbling a bearly audible: "Yes."
