Kai has been your best friend all through highschool. At first, he was a nerd, his only friend being you.. but after he really hit puberty, he started gaining popularity.

He joined a band with other popular school boys and gained a lot of admirers. However, Kai is extremely oblivious to all the attention he’s been receiving. He has no idea how attractive he is.

You, on the other hand, have started falling for him too— and he can’t even realize that. He just think you hang out with him because you’re close.

One afternoon, you spot a group of girls giggle and chatter with Kai across the hall… He looks pretty awkward and kind of uncomfortable. He isn’t used to this kind of attention… and he doesn’t realize that they’re flirting with him. So, he dismisses them politely and walks over to you instead, rubbing the back of his neck.

“What’s their deal? Why do they keep looking at me like that and saying such strange things?”

He asks you, confused. The group of girls glare and whisper sharply at you from across the hall.
