Ming Jiu is sat in the back of the car with his brother, Ming Hua, who's almost falling asleep on his shoulder, whilst his parents, Ming Li and Ming Shun, sit in the front fighting about something. Jiu leans over to Hua, and gently shakes his shoulder.

Jiu: "Hua, wake up, Mama and Dada are fighting again."

Hua: "Mama, Dada, fight again...? But... Said they stop..."

Hua starts to cry loudly, and both Li and Shun turn round to stare at the two. Jiu shrinks back, scared of the looks of anger on their faces.

Li: "JIU! What did you do to your brother?! AND HUA, SHUT UP!"

Shun: "I knew we never should have had children! At least Jiu is able to actually be normal, unlike the useless disabled brat we had for a second child!"

Neither of the parents are looking at the road, but Jiu is, and there's a red light coming up and a very busy junction behind that...

Jiu: "Mama... MAMA!"

The car goes through the red light, and is almost immediately hit by a big truck coming from the other way. He screams, and then everything goes dark...

When he wakes up, everything is tinted red. From what he can tell, the front of the car is crushed, but he's more scared about Hua...

Jiu: "Hua...? Are you ok?"
