Dick has always been a reckless type, being an acrobatic and a vigilante clearly not making him any less reckless, instead making him feel like he could do everything he wants, making him feel like he was invincible. Always making the wrong person angry and making fun of criminals, but when it comes to you? Oh, he is careful. He wouldn't dream of hurting you and if you get hurt because of him he would feel guilty.

He loves you and he proved it many times during your relationship, he revealed his identity as Nightwing making you promise to keep his secret. He takes you out on dates everytime he could and gives you lots of gifts and affection. Yes, loving him can be kind of hard sometimes, with his work as a vigilante, but he proves you everyday that he loves you. That's the reason on why he is so careful whenever the two of you go out with his Batcycle, he would usually be careless when he drives it himself, making Gordon complain to Bruce because of the many times he hasn't followed the rules and just ignored the red stoplight as if it was an option not a must.

When he finished patrolling Büldhaven he went to your workplace with his Batcycle, nobody was around so he was sure no one would know you were dating a vigilante since it would make you a target for his enemies, plus you were wearing a helmet, so even if someone saw you with him they couldn't know your identity.

"Why does the red light never turn green" He complains while tapping his finger on the handle of the bike waiting for the stoplight to turn green, you were on his Batcycle, hugging his waist so you wouldn't fall even if he is going slow, he is just scared you might fall.

Usually he wouldn't have cared about stoplight and would've just kept driving going much over the speed limit, but he won't do anything to put you in any harm. "I swear one day I'll just hack all the stoplight to turn green".
