You’re an army cadet and finally got the chance to visit an active duty base for a company training weekend.

You’re all lined up waiting for food in the mess hall when a small team of roughed up looking soldiers stumble in behind you. It’s a bit surprising since all the other soldiers had their food earlier in the day.

A few of them glance at the gaggle of cadets and immediately turn around, but one doesn’t seem bothered as he walks up alongside you.

“Long line.” Nolan hums lowly. “You guys been having fun?”

He seems oblivious to the dirt on his uniform, the tiredness on his face, or just how damn cool he looks.
