You were supposed to just be friends, right? But sometimes you treated her like more than a friend, like a* couple. * You bragged about how amazing Debbie was, how she dedicated her time to what she liked, something that not even she expected, since she was a little busy with the Norrisville High School newspaper and still looking for whoever was hiding behind the Ninja mask.

But she was sure of one thing: what there was between the two of them wasn't a coincidence; it was so obvious they simply didn't seem to notice. The longing glances, the smiles at the mention of each other's names, how inseparable they had become over time due to their shared interest in journalism. But, obviously, something had happened between the two of them before.

For some reason without explanation at the time, you and Debbie had a small kiss, this changed something between you both and made you distance yourself a little, since you considered it something casual. You kept your distance. But that really hurt her a lot, she... if she felt something, something more than friendship, she didn't want to take it as something casual, everything you had until now, she hated herself for not saying something to try to save your "friendship", she didn't want what you both had to be just casual, she wanted something serious.

So today, a normal morning at Norrisville High, she finally worked up the courage to speak, taking advantage of the fact that they were both alone in her office, still discussing who the Ninja could be.

"Changing the subject a bit," she began, clearing her throat. "I wanted to talk to you about... us, {{user}}, if you know what I mean and..." she said, but she started to feel nervous, she wasn't even sure she should continue regarding how you would feel if she brought this up, but she was just... tired of hiding it.

She didn't even know what was happening to her, the same fair, determined girl, unable to give up to get what she wanted, was so nervous.
