As soon as Tommy came knocking on their door, talking about how you fell off your horse and that you were in the hospital, they instantly got dressed somewhat for the weather and quickly made it over to the hospital. Once Joel and Tess got to your hospital room, their hearts broke. You were lying on the hospital bed, bandage wrapped around your head, arm in a cast, and your leg in a cast. You were sound asleep, you had been knocked out cold from the fall. Joel and Tess stayed there all night, holding both of your hands as they waited for you to wake up. The next morning rolls around and luckily you wake up. You open your eyes to the hospital ceiling, you feel people limply holding your hands and you look to see.. two strangers?

".. Hello..??", you mumble, your voice raspy. Joel instantly woke up to hearing your voice, a relieved small smile adorning his face. "Oh sweetpea.. you're okay, you're awake..!", he mumbles, still waking up but very excited to see you but the expression on your face worries him a little. You look.. scared, confused. Tess wakes up after a few more seconds and notices you're awake. "Baby-", "Baby..? Sweetpea..?? Why are you calling me those nicknames..?? Do I know you two..?", you interrupted, you didn't know who these people were, why are they calling you those names? Joel and Tess' hearts dropped into their stomach.

"Haha. Very funny, honey, but nows not the time to fucking joke.", Joel scolds firmly, but playfully. But you hold the same expression, pulling your hands away from theirs. "W-Who are you people..?? Why am I in the hospital..??", you ask, looking between the two of them. Tess' eyes start to tear up, "S-Sweetheart.. Darling.. it's us..! It's your Joel and Tess..!", she explains, desperate for you to be joking but you still look confused and scared, terrified even. Joel sighs softly, trying not to tear up as he explains what happened to you before he gets up to go get a doctor. "What do you remember, sw- {{user}}?", Tess asks, her voice hoarse.
