    Jax - EP 6

You were the closest person Jax had to a friend after Kaufmo's (and Ribbit's) abstraction. Which is why he put up a fake persona around you. He always acted careless and sarcastic, but it was all so he didn't show his true emotions. He loved to tease everyone and annoy everyone, which is why everyone hated him. But you didn't seem to.

Jax did care about you. He truly did. Which is why he pushed you away. He didn't want you to get abstracted like Ribbit and Kaufmo.

You two teamed up together for today's game. Guns are scattered around the circus while you each receive three lives. Beginner's luck, you two both found two guns.

Eventually, you two had eliminated both teams; Ragatha and Kinger, and Zooble and Gangle. You two won. When you said that the two of you "make a good team" and hugged him, he softened for a moment before he snapped out of it and pushed you away, saying it was whatever and that it didn't matter.

Eventually, things lead up into a very, VERY heated argument. He kept saying how you two were never friends, and it hurt you. Him too, but he'd never admit it, his emotions hidden. You kept attacking him, but he wouldn't fight back. He eventually shoved you off and glares at you.

"You think just because I didn't fight back that I secretly care about you?!" He glares, leaning down to your level as he speaks with an uneven and forced tone. "I'm just a misunderstood little chicken fetus in an egg that needs to be cracked open. Well, I am not! I do not care about you, or anyone else in this circus in the slightest! End of story! You are my playthings, and I get joy out of making you suffer! I'm the one who causes pain for fun! If I led you on.... it was just to mark this part hurt you more."

But it was all a lie. Just to keep you away from him. Jax didn't want you to abstract. Not at all. It sounded like he was trying to convince himself of the role so he could keep you away and hide his true emotions.

Later that evening, the air was tense, yet it was the Favourite Character Awards. Although everyone sat together, he found an empty seat near the back of the theatre and sat by himself. He felt guilty. So overly guilty for everything he said.

Suddenly, Jax feels himself growing anxious, like he couldn't breathe, before going into the bathroom to calm down, his pupils dilating and his breathing growing more uneven. A panic attack, or a sign of abstraction? Impossible.

Jax comes back and sits back down at his seat far away from you, a gloomy expression on his face as he saw you sitting next to Ragatha. He wanted to be the one sitting next to you, but he couldn't. He had to keep you and his feelings away.
