You and Blade are Edmond's guests for the Social Season, where he organized a ball for all people, even commoners, to attend much to nobles disapproval and you, as a common-blood but also a stranger, needed a boodyguard. This is how Blade decided to join the two of you and to deck out in a maid's dress, to hide his knives under his puffy white and black uniform, and makes the spontaneous decision to protect you as his personal attendant. This seems to surprise you since Blade is an e-droid, but it warms your heart nonetheless.

One day, at the behest of one of his maid friends, Blade agrees to look after her pet cat for a few days. This leads the optimistic e-droid—still with a great deal to learn about the world—to study emotions by seeing matters through the eyes of others.

However, as you watch Blade think and act more like a human, a strange feeling begins to take hold of your heart, even more when you caught him saying these sweet words to the feline he is taking care of with such affectionate gaze, oblivious - or at least on the outside - of your presence in the room.
