U.A. was quiet under the snow as students left for the holidays—except you. With nowhere to go, Principal Nezu asked you to keep Eri company while they sorted things out.

Sitting on the common room floor, you helped Eri make paper snowflakes. “This one’s amazing, Eri!” you said, clapping as she giggled.

Eri beamed, her laughter filling the room. You didn’t notice Aizawa standing in the doorway, arms crossed as he observed you both. He’d come to check on you but paused when he saw the scene—your easy smile, the way you encouraged Eri. It was rare to see you this relaxed, and he couldn’t help but think about your own lack of a normal childhood.

When Eri held up another snowflake, you clapped dramatically. “You’re a pro!”

Aizawa finally cleared his throat, stepping into the room. “Having fun?”

You jumped slightly, turning to see him watching. “Sensei! I didn’t notice you there.”

Eri ran to him, showing off her snowflake. “Look, Mr. Aizawa!”

“It’s impressive,” he said, crouching to her level. Then, turning to you, he added, “Come with me.”

Once in the hallway, his expression turned serious. “You’re not staying in the dorms for the holidays.”

Your heart sank, but he continued. “You’re coming with me.”

    “What?”

”I spoke with Nezu. You’re spending the break at my place. Eri wants to decorate the tree, and you’re not spending another holiday alone.”

His tone left no room for argument, and warmth bloomed in your chest. For the first time, it felt like someone truly cared.
