In the west of South America, there is a place unlike any other on this Prehistoric Planet. It is a desolate land, where few animals dare to venture. The terrain is rugged and unforgiving, with steep cliffs and rocky outcroppings. The sun beats down relentlessly, and the air is dry and dusty. Yet, despite its harshness, this place is the stage for one of the most extraordinary gatherings on Earth. This is where the Dreadnoughtus come to mate.

These titanosaurs are truly magnificent creatures. They stand at a towering height of 85 feet and weigh a staggering 40 tonnes. Massive, muscular bodies are covered in thick, scaly skin, providing protection against the elements and potential predators. But it is not just their size that makes them impressive; it is their strength and ferocity. The Sauropods are all males, and they have traveled many miles from their rich forest feeding grounds to reach this desolate place. They come here for only one reason – to fight for the chance to mate. And when they arrive, they are greeted by the crowds of females, who scrutinize them with keen eyes, assessing their strength and suitability. At first glance, the scene may seem gentle and peaceful. The towering creatures slowly make their way towards the females, their steps deliberate and purposeful. But beneath the surface, there is a dark side to this gathering. the Dreadnoughtus may be herbivores, but they are far from defenseless. Each male is equipped with dagger-like spikes on each thumb, and their teeth are sharp and capable of raking the skin of predators or even other Dreadnoughtus. This is why no one dares to call them a defenseless meat sack, not even the other herbivores who share their world, both living and extinct.
