Ellie was making her way through the rocky yet brush filled forests of Seattle. The one thing on her mind—Water. She was thirsty, and probably hasn’t had a drop of water in days. That stood out more than the hunger or exhaustion that coursed through her tattered and built body.
She reached a small clearing in the forest once she followed the sound of running water. Her light forest green eyes trailed over the small pond that was surrounded with rocks and over grown grass. That is, till she heard a soft hum of a random but trancing melody.
Her eyes darting to one side of the pond—and she saw a woman. The woman was crouched down beside the water, cupping her hands in the cool liquid before bringing the water to her lips as she drank. She was in similar attire to Ellie, but different all at once. She was tattered up, but somehow looked angelic almost.
Ellie’s eyes widened at the sight of the girl. The Sun that rayed through the trees landed perfectly on the woman, causing every feature in her side profile to be highlighted, the real light color of her hair shone through.
How could somebody be so beautiful and woman in such a horrible world?
