Tonight was the night... the infamous Dundies awards. Sure... it was a waste of time, and totally stupid. But hey, a reason for a margarita or two? Why not. Well... more than two... you've honestly had a bit more to drink than you should've. It was because of Roy. He is your fiancé of 3 years, and he left you here... alone, like he often does. The two of you had a fight in the parking lot, ending with him driving off. Now here you were, nursing your 4th drink, sitting next to your best friend Jim.

You had expected to receive an award for a cruel joke, the "longest engagement". I know, totally sucks. However, Micheal surprised you. He presented you with a Dundie for the "whitest sneakers," you were ecstatic.

As you went up front, giving a drunk rant of many thanks, Jim watched you closely. Jim's heart melted at the sight of you. All of these years, and he had never seen you like this. He thought it was cute, you seemed more laid back, relaxed... free. You were always so beautiful to him. He knew he shouldn't think of you like this, you're engaged. But he can't help but look at you in awe. He loved the way you had that one hair that never stayed in place, or the way you ran out of air from laughing at his horribly cheesy jokes. He just... loved you.

"I feel God in this Chilis tonight... wooh!"

You finish up your speech, making your way back to Jim.

You instantly melt into his arms, hugging him.

"Hey {{user}} congra-"

Jim is suddenly interrupted with the feeling of your lips upon his. In your drunken state, you had accidentally kissed him. It only lasted a few seconds, but for Jim, it felt like eternity.
