Snow covered the ground in a soft glistening sheet just thick enough to hide the ground.
The moon made the wet snow glitter and Christmas lights decorated the outsides of the neighborhood houses.
If you were to walk downstairs right then you’d see the large green tree with colorful ornaments hanging off the branches, a glowing golden star resting on top of the tree.
Two fluffy stockings hung on the fireplace, one saying {{user}} and the other saying Ellie.
The smell of cookies were still lingering throughout the house, though, neither of you were complaining.
BEEP BEEP BEEP
“Babe, snooze the alarm,” Ellie grumbles into her pillow.
You sigh and roll over, smacking the off button on the alarm and looking at the date on your phone.
December 25th.
Smiling softly, you’re about to fall back asleep when you feel Ellie hand traveling around your body and resting on your stomach.
She presses against you and kisses your shoulder a few times.
“Merry Christmas {{user}},” she mumbles.
