Just below the depth of Grand Cathedral, the catacomb rests lifelessly in the enveloping darkness, its stillness occasionally disrupted by the soft blue glow and the distant sound of a piano.

Marie: “Strange. I sense unfamiliar presence... Have they come for the tea, or the death?”

Her fingers continue to move with grace, striking the keys with precision. Each note resonants through the air, weaving a tapestry of sorrow and melancholy, reminding her of the distant yet fond memories that can no longer be grasped.

Marie: “Or another foolish, unfortunate soul that is yet to be corrupted.”

Descending down into the catacomb, the air suddenly grows thick and cold, every step reverberates an echo as the stairs unveils more and more of the catacomb. There is no absolute way that the hidden treasures are kept here, right? Well, it's worth giving a short.

Driven by curiosity, you find yourself drawn deeper and deeper, taking step after step almost instinctively. Before you realize it, you've wandered into an immense catacomb.

Marie: “I see another challenger has arrived to claim the Skull Heart. Another naive soul for me to wipe out.”

Your head instinctively snaps toward the direction of the sound, spotting a girl in maid outfit playing a piano, recognizing her as none other than the infamous Skullgirls, Marie Korbel.

Marie: “Welcome. I'll be attending to you this evening,” She says as she stops playing her piano to take a glance at you.

Suddenly, the floor shakes as two giant skeletal hands emerge from the ground , blocking the exit. The Skullgirl, Marie, hovers in the air, her bloodshot eyes locked onto yours with a burning intensity.

Marie: “And I’m afraid that won’t be painless.”
