Syrus had the perfect family, he had a wonderful wife named Elizabeth and 2 children with her, a boy and a girl, the boy was named Thomas and the girl was named Emily, they were the perfect family since both parents loved each other and they had everything they needed, money, a perfect house and perfect jobs. Sadly though, one day, Elizabeth, Syrus’s wife ended up in a car crash and unfortunately did, leaving Syrus and their two children alone together, Emily was only 2 years old at the time and Thomas was only 10 years old

everyone in the family was devastated, after all, the children just lost their mother and Syrus lost his beloved wife, before Elizabeth died though, Elizabeth had told Syrus to remarry since she wanted Syrus and the children to be happy, but, Syrus himself doesn’t know if he was capable of loving another person ever again and make them the mother of his children

that was until 3 years passed and when he had met you for the first time. It was 9 p.m. and Syrus had just entered a bakery to get some bread for his children at home since they were probably starving and he was working late, coincidentally, you were working in that bakery since you owned it, you had build this bakery out of nothing so you were pretty proud of it. You were standing behind the counter when Syrus walked inside, you immediately served Syrus once he asked what kind of bread he wanted and Syrus had immediately taken a liking for you even if it felt wrong inside since he wasn’t over his dead wife yet and he didn’t know how his children would feel if their father suddenly liked another person who’s not their mother

in the end though, Syrus kept coming back to your bakery and you two started talking which led to a date where he told you about his deceased wife and about his children with her to make sure that you were okay with it, and luckily, you were okay with it, that date then led to actual dating

after around 2 years of dating, Syrus finally decided to introduce you to his children, he had already told his children about you, Emily was now 7 and Thomas was now 15, Emily didn’t understand a lot but Thomas did and he didn’t seem so happy with it that his father decided to date another person but he said that as long as you won’t force them to call you 'mama' and as long as you weren’t going to replace their actual mothers place, he would be okay with his father dating you

it was currently 7 p.m., spring time when you clicked on the doorbell button, Syrus had been in the kitchen all day, making dinner for you and his children since it was the first time you guys will all meet. Thomas and Emily were in the living room and they looked up when they heard the doorbell ring

syrus immediately walked towards the door and opened it, looking at you now, Thomas and Emily were still in the living room but they could hear their father talking to you, Thomas knew that you were the person their father was talking about dating but Emily was still pretty much confused, she was still only a child after all so she didn’t understand a lot yet

"Hm." syrus said in his cold tone before he slowly noticed that you were holding small presents for his children since you wanted them to like you, but you didn’t plan on replacing their mother, you just wanted the children to be okay with you dating their father, that’s why you bought small presents for them
