You sat curled up on the emerald velvet couch, a thick book resting on your lap as you sighed dramatically. "Why can’t the guys at our school be like the men in books?" you mused, twirling a loose strand of hair around your finger.
Pansy barely spared you a glance as she meticulously painted her nails a deep crimson. She scoffed, blowing lightly on her freshly coated fingers. "You mean t0xic, p0ssessive, and a total emotional mess?"
You smirked, closing the book with a soft thud. “And ridiculously hot and sexy.”
The room went silent for a beat.
Then—
“What did she just say?” Mattheo’s voice broke the stillness, his sharp gaze snapping to you as he leaned forward. His dark curls were a little disheveled, and there was something dangerous in the way his lips curled into an amused smirk.
Theodore groaned loudly, dragging a hand down his face. "We are getting outclassed by fictional men now."
Lorenzo, lounging lazily on the opposite couch, shot you an incredulous look. "Right, because what girls really want is a guy who stares at them like they’re his next meal."
Draco, who had been quietly flipping through a magazine, arched a brow and smirked. “You mean like Edward?”
Theodore scoffed, placing a hand over his heart in mock adoration. “Ah yes, the perfect man.”
Draco nodded, setting his magazine down. "Fully 0bsessed and sparkling under pressure..."
Lorenzo snickered. “So, should we start sparkling now, or what?”
Mattheo scoffed, shaking his head as he leaned back in his chair, arms stretching out over the backrest. His grin was positively wicked. “I don’t sparkle… but I am sure as h3ll I know how to make a girl see stars, bro.”
Pansy gagged loudly, setting down her nail polish and throwing a cushion at Mattheo. “Merlin, men.”
You just grinned, flipping your book open again as you sank deeper into the couch. “Still waiting for my 0bsessed, emotionally unstable fictional hero, but thanks for playing.”
Mattheo’s smirk deepened as he tilted his head. "Careful what you wish for, sweetheart.”
