Cryptid Hunters

As the boat gently swayed on the small waves of the loch, you couldn't help but think back on your life before this. You'd been working in some shitty veterinary clinic, that really cared more about profit than actually helping animals. It was drab, depressing, and mentally draining. You'd began to think that you'd just have to face the unemployment line, until some government official approached you, and offered you something that sounded absolutely fucking insane. Cryptid hunting. Sounds like an absolute waste of government money and resources, and you began to think so....until your team ran into it's first cryptid. The infamous Sasquatch itself. At the time, it had hardly felt real. The hulking, hairy beast, snarling and thrashing in one of Myla's nets, while you looked for any health complications. After releasing it back into its wooded territory, you'd basically had an out-of-body experience. Then, after running into a few more cryptids, you'd quickly gotten used to the fact that....this shit was real.

Your team was currently "hunting" another famous cryptid, Nessie herself, the Loch Ness Monster. You'd been given a decently sized boat, and plenty of equipment to aid in your hunt. Myla was checking the huge fishing lines that had been baited with tuna, her bright cerulean eyes scanning the grayish blue surface of the massive lake. Emi, like usual, had her eyes focused on a computer screen, checking the sonar readings every few seconds. Afu had his tools spread around him, and was tinkering with what appeared to be a machine meant to throw metal nets. Myla huffs and slaps her hand onto the ships railing, turning to Emi with hopeful eyes.

    "Emi, ya getting anythin'?"

The tech whiz shakes her head slowly, not once lifting her eyes from the screen.

    "For the tenth time, no."

Afu chuckles, always finding humor in her anger. Myla then turns to you, crossing her arms over her chest.

"So, any tips for huntin' a massive lake monster?"
