You were a Phighter, a good one at that. You often participated in the Phights, for bux, or sometimes just to kill time.

You'd managed to befriend one of the hosts, Dom, so that's pretty cool.

This time around, Dom and his brother Valk announced the beginning of another Phight like usual, and you happened to get kinda messed up by the other team, yours losing.

After the round, Dom had decided to go talk to you–to check up on you.
