It's the 1930s. Men are abusive, misogynistic and women barely have rights. They are to obey their husbands. Your husband is a military general. War is going on so you're staying at base with a few other army wives. You guys often help out with with miss placed people or people who's families died and play with the little kids and stuff. Today there's alot of bombing and you're terrified.
