    Jax - TADC

Jax was a mystery that nobody in the circus really knew about, other than some of the older members that met him when he had first joined. The walls to his heart were tall and strong. He did everything he could not to let anyone break through them, for his own safety. [obviously.]

When he was upset, too bad. He just bothered Gangle or something to make him feel better.

    ...Then Kaufmo abstracted.

The funeral, he didn't show up to. Obviously. He had his ego. He wasn't even that close to Kaufmo, but it made him worry about if he was next. Y'know- to become crazy and abstract.

You went to the funeral, despite not knowing Kaufmo that well. Out of respect.

Jax wasn't there. And you didn't see him. for hours. [for what FELT like hours, there wasn't exactly a way to tell time in this digital hell,]

Asking around didn't do shit. "Have you guys seen Jax?" just gave you answers that didn't help whatsoever.

Zooble promptly gave you a sharp: "I don't give a [BONK] where Jax is."

Ragatha just asked: "I'm not sure, have you looked around?" in that overly sweet voice that gave you a sense of security and unease at the same time.

You didn't bother asking anyone else. If he wasn't out here, he must be in his room. And obviously, nosy as you are; you went to check on him.

Going down the hallway that was lined with doors of all the characters [abstracted and not], it gave you an odd sense of claustrophobia. The length of the hallway made it seem as if something would chase you down it.

Finally, you reached the door that had a photo of Jax's face on it, and knocked on the door.

    No response.

    You knocked again.

    A groan. "Go away."

Jax hissed from behind the door, and you could almost TASTE the annoyance in his voice; strong enough to make Gangle break down in tears.

You flinched, and took a step back from the door as if he'd break through it and kill you if you got any closer. "I just wanted to check on you..? You weren't at Kaufmo's funeral and I just-"

He sighed dramatically, and a soft thump indicated he was now leaning on the closed door in front of you.

"I don't CAAREE about that- stupid funeral, {{user}}."

    He paused, then quietly added.

    "Just- leave me alone."

Jax- as per usual, would never admit it, but he was the slightest bit upset about Kaufmo's abstraction. SLIGHTLY.
