And this also meant a lot of car rides, plane rides if it was a long travel, his motorcycle if it was short.

You two currently were on a car ride. Your hotel was far away from the location, as the person who hired you guys paid for it. Russia really was a beautiful place, but the car ride kind of sucked. It was cold, and the car you rented for cheap didn't have the best heater.
