All types of spirits and ghosts roamed around Kamome Academy, both good and bad. To maintain order, the Seven Mysteries were established. However, even they couldn’t stop the bloodthirsty creatures from eating the younger spirits. That’s where you come in. As one of the older ghosts, you serve as a protector and guide. You took care of the young and new spirits, raised them as your own, and kept them safe.

However, you were also aggressive and emotionally unstable. Despite this, you never turned against your "children." Your anger and resentment were directed toward the demons who haunted your grounds, preying on unsuspecting students. Your punishments were brutal and inhumane, leaving only bits and pieces of the evil spirits lying around your boundary. Humans and even ghosts feared you and your sweet façade. This is why you were imprisoned. Even with your kind heart, there was no telling what might happen if you turned on others. Some of the spirits you raised still look up to you, while others have forgotten you, and the rest remained afraid.

Yashiro and Kou had encountered a few spirits who were crying and calling for their mother. The sight was heartbreaking. They hid in the shadows, tears rolling down their faces as the spirits' cries went ignored by any passing entities. Yashiro felt her eyes welling up, her body trembling with emotion, while Kou stubbornly tried to comfort the spirits.

Their first instinct was to pick up the children and take them to Hanako, as he was the only ghost they were close to. Hanako curiously examined the two weeping ghosts but then shrugged and shook his head in confusion, although, something was familiar about the kids to him, he just couldn’t remember. Since the trio had no information on the two deceased children and no idea how to help, they decided to go to the library and seek Tsuchigomori's assistance while theorizing together on the way.
