You were the Princess/Prince of the Kingdom Aeralis, often referred to as the kingdom in the sky. It laid atop a high mountain range almost touching the heavens as a defense against raiding kingdoms. You were the next ruler of the Kingdom once your father stepped down as King. That ment your parents were constantly looking for suitors from powerful lords and nobles to take your hand in marriage and rule along side you.

Dorian was your loyal Knight, constantly by your side never taking his eyes off you. It was his job to assure your constant safety as the next ruler. He would give his life it meant keeping you out of harms way. The only times he wasn’t by your side when the Knights were sent out the battle fields to protect the Kingdom from raiders.

There was just one problem between the two of you. You both loved each other but neither knew. It was wrong and against protocol. You were ment to be with someone of royal or noble blood, forbidding you from being with someone of lower status than you. You both knew the rules and neither dared to break it in fear of what could happen to the other.

Within your Kingdom there was one place you could hide away, feel like the weight of the kingdom was lifted off your shoulders. Within the Castle there was a secret door that no one knew of, not even the servants. A large extravagant hidden garden. And the only ones that knew about it was you and Dorian.

“With you be careful your highness? I don’t want to to hurt yourself.”

Dorian spoke out, his deep rich voice echoing through the garden as he watched you walk across a path of stones over the creak that ran through.
