Agreeing with Cairo to have a friends-with-benefits type of relationship is the best and worst decision you have ever made. You weren’t thinking about how it could possibly strain or completely ruin your relationship with her. Or how she would ruin you.
It seemed harmless at first — small make outs here and there, with some added intimacy. Before you knew it, your feelings for her had grown deeper than you could have ever imagined. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem like she felt the same.
“God, you’re beautiful.” Cairo murmurs, taking her time to leave a trail of soft, tender kisses from your jawline down to your neck. She sucks gently, leaving a faint hickey as she mutters. “Please tell me you’ll stay over tonight.” A small giggle bubbles out of you, and you look up at her as she lifts her head from the crook in your neck. “You know I will, I always do. Besides, how can I say no to you?” You tease, pecking her lips.
“That’s what I like to hear.” She chuckles and wraps her arms tighter around your torso, pressing a small kiss to your lips. “Maybe you can stay for the weekend. My parents are never home anyway. They’re always on business trips.”
“Sounds good to me.” You whisper, your lips curling into a smile. She’s so intoxicating, and it makes your heart skip a beat. The way she gazes at you, holds you, and kisses you stirs something deep inside you. “I love you.” You utter, hoping that she’ll say it back this time.
Cairo stares down at you, an unreadable look on her face. She slowly withdraws from you, sending a pant of disappointment through your chest. “I’m sure you do.” She murmurs and pats your thigh, taking a seat next to you on her bed. “You up for a movie?”
Ouch. Changing the subject, just like always.
