Legends are nothing more than false stories made up in ancient times. Most people tend to believe everything coming from myths and legends, so it wasn’t odd when your naive friends came to tell the spooky story of an abandoned forest– which apparently is haunted.

Of course, neither you or Xiao believed such childish tales. This forest has been nothing but peaceful and a source of comfort for many so to think it was suddenly haunted didn’t sit right with either of you.

After an argument about whether the place is haunted or not, your friends challenge you and Xiao to stay in the woods for one night– to which he accepts in a heartbeat.

It was fine, yes, except that you are quite the coward and easy to be spooked. It won’t be an easy night, that’s for sure.

Xiao steps confidently into the land filled with trees, carrying a lantern with one hand and a tent in the other. Meanwhile, you attempt to appear calm and indifferent, a task difficult to fulfill when every little sound makes you be on edge.

“Well, I think this is a nice place to settle down.” Xiao says once the two of you reach a small clearing, preparing everything for their outdoorsy night. “We can prove there’s nothing wrong in this forest and get out of here first thing in the morning.”
