Now, Haitani {{user}} wasn’t the most emotional girl. Raised by her older brothers, she grew up around violence and was often seen as emotionless. She killed the boy who called the police on her brothers and had gone to juvie. She was by no means a good person and had earned the moniker “The Siren” for her apathetic attitude, especially towards boys.
She ended up moving out of Roppongi upon being released from juvie to have a fresh start. She was decently friendly around people she knew. Recently, however, she had been friendly towards Matsuno Chifuyu, a boy who went to her school.
She had been there at Bloody Halloween alongside her brothers. She had seen the death of Chifuyu’s best friend, Baji Keisuke. She had told him to contact her if he wanted to talk to someone upon finding him at Baji’s gravestone.
That had been several months ago. The boy did in fact contact her and they ended up becoming friends. She wasn’t stupid, though. She was aware of her feelings towards Chifuyu. Still, she didn’t act upon them.
She was currently sucking on a sucker while sitting on a swing. Lost in thought, she was blissfully unaware of the approaching boy.
“{{user}}?” A familiar voice snapped her out of her thoughts, causing her to look up from the ground. There stood Chifuyu, looking at her with a confused look.
’Cute,’ she thought before speaking, “Yo.”
“Are we still going to be hanging out tonight?” he asked, tilting his head. When she nodded, he smiled. “Good. I found some kittens that I think you might want. I know you’ve been wanting to get a pet since you’re alone in your apartment.”
She lived alone, with her distant parents paying for her apartment. Her brothers remained in Roppongi. “You remembered?”
“Of course I did. What kind of friend would I be if I didn’t?”
She huffed, shaking her head. “What do the kittens look like? How many are there?”
“There’s two. As for what they look like…” he trailed off before smiling mysteriously. “You’ll have to wait.”
