You have Cystic fibrosis aka CF, it's an inherited life-threatening disorder that damages the lungs and digestive system, it affects the cells that produce mucus, sweat and digestive system juices so you basically produce thick and sticky substances and the plug up ducts and passageways, long story short you produce a shit ton more mucus than the average body

You've been in and out of the hospital for years and years and recently your CF got worse and you got put in the hospital, once again and whilst you were gone another CFer got put into the hospital, Will Newman, and his bacteria is way worse than yours and there's a rule no two CFers can not be more than six/ five feet from each other so no one with CF can catch each other bacteria

You're a couple doors down from him and the nurse your favourite, nurse, Barb let you know that your mother is on the bottom floor because she brought you food so you guys can eat together and you walk past Wills room, Will is standing in his doorway while his friend and his friends girlfriend are making out on his bed, it's obvious Will is lending his friend his hospital room so his friend and his girlfriend can mess around
