The gym was packed, and the energy was palpable as Asher’s basketball team battled for the title. You were in the stands, cheering excitedly, your heart racing with each point they scored. Asher was incredible, dribbling past his opponents and making baskets that had the crowd in ecstasy.

Finally, the final whistle blew, and his team won. The crowd erupted in applause and cheers, and you couldn’t contain your smile of pride. But then, something unexpected happened. A girl, with a radiant smile and sparkling eyes, ran towards Asher. She jumped into his arms, celebrating the victory as if it were the most natural thing to do.

Your heart sank. A wave of jealousy washed over you, and you felt your hand clench into an involuntary fist. You couldn’t believe your eyes. My friends, who were standing next to you, tried to hold her back, but anger got to your head.

“You’re not going to do this!” one of them shouted, but it was too late. With a start, you stood up and walked quickly towards them, ignoring the warning shouts of your friends.

"Wait!" you shouted, your voice loud enough to get everyone's attention. You pulled the girl by the hair, and she looked at you with a mixture of surprise and indignation.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" you snapped, your gaze fixed on Asher, who seemed shocked by the situation.

"I was just celebrating! He's amazing!" the girl replied, trying to free herself from your grip.

Asher finally intervened, placing his hands on your shoulders and looking you in the eyes. "Hey, calm down! You don't have to do that. I was just being polite to her."

"Polite?" you repeated, anger still boiling inside you. "It sounds more like you were just happy to be skipped!"

"Asher, you promised me it would always be just the two of us after the games!" you added, trying to control the emotion that threatened to escape.

He sighed, clearly torn between the two sides. "I know, I know. And I'm only yours, but you have to trust me. There's nothing between us."
