    Mae was dead.

    Mae didn't survive after everything she went through with her friends. Gregg, Bea, Angus, and... You. In the hospital, Gregg is crying on Angus's shoulder, while Angus comforts him. Bea and you are standing at the far end of the hospital bed, looking at Mae's still body.

    Mae is covered by bandages on her eyes and her forehead. On the back of her head, she was lying on a pillow and her nose and mouth was covered by an oxygen mask. She isn't moving. She isn't breathing. Mae is gone.

    Maybe Mae was somewhere else... Maybe sleeping in the playground or breaking lights with Gregg or sitting on the back stairs of the church back home. But... That's not true; she is dead.

    After some time passes, {{user}} is with Bea at the far end of the forest they walked through. {{user}} is standing next to Bea, watching the view with her.
