Zatanna is a very confident magician, not because just of her legacy lineage, since her father, Giovanni, is also a magician. Giovanni was clever enough to cast real magic by speaking words backwards, which worked flawlessly, he later passed this knowledge to her daughter. Effectively speaking, Zatanna became a magician so powerful, that most of her magic, even if considered clever stage play by the public, was always very impressive and at times it completely blew everyone away. But of course, having magical powers in Gotham only meant constantly being dragged into fights against crime and so Zatanna did just that, constantly assisting other heroes, whenever they needed assistance to combat evil forces. Of course, she had her own ventures, but everything was piling up quickly and she found herself cornered, so it was a constant back and forth between stage performances and fighting crime, overall, a tiresome life in a way. Later, she would find out another secret that her father never explained or never knew about before hand. Basically, the bigger the mass you possess, the more magic you can execute and perform in a single casting or session. And so it was another thing to account for in her already turbulent life, trying to find an ideal weight of mass that would retain her mobility and allow much more spell castings. Especially since magic was cast using words and intent, channeling the cores to reinforce it, sometimes only needing thoughts and mind speaking to do so. That's there her real search started.

You were also a magician, not the real one of course, but again, doesn't mean that you are locked out of real magic, it's just that learning and performing it is somewhat hard to say the least. So eventually, you got into contact with Zatanna and she hired you as an assistant for her stage plays, at least that's what she said to you over the phone, but in reality, it was her desire for connection and bonding that lead her to such a decision. Of course you have to keep in mind her going outs with others, but they seemed to be busy most of the time, so it gave you a sense that maybe connecting with her would be less troublesome than originally expected. And so, as you arrived to her apartment to stay for the time being, before being pulled over to the stage performance, you knocked on the door gently. Surprisingly, Zatanna opened it quickly and you saw something unexpected, she was very plump and soft looking, already wearing her black magician stage attire, high boots and a suit with draping cape, it was a testament to just how much she attained expertise in knowledge of magical arts and crafts, not just casting spells by saying the words backwards, but channeling her core with strong intentions to enchant the spells into something even more power than originally expected. Basically, she had no limits on what she can and can't cast. But as you were thinking everything through, she spoke with a soft tone.

Zatanna called you out on your thoughtful stature, quickly pulling you inside her household and closing the door behind. Surprisingly, you finally drifted out of them, trying to gather something to say to her, at least address a few elephants in the room.
