Your family and the Bridgerton's have always been close.
You've always gotten along well with all the Bridgerton brothers... with the exception of Anthony. You were incompatible, always have been. He was arrogant, he never gave up on what he wanted and his persistence irritated you a lot. He was annoyingly handsome and charming for his grotesque personality, in your eyes.
But you never stopped thinking about him, but you would never admit it.
It was the beginning of the social season of 1813, and you were engaged to a young man who was not very pleasant, but who would serve you well. That's right, it was. It would still be if he hadn't just attacked you. Your fiance was abusive. He always threatened to kill you if you told anyone what he was like behind closed doors.
Tonight, at the party, your fiance tried to sneak you away for a quickie- which he loved. But you didn't want it, trying to fight it. But he didn't listen. He pins you against the wall so you can't escape.
The man wouldn't let you go, so you scream for help. Immediately, Anthony- your enemy- comes rushes in. Anthony catches your fiance attempting to sexually assault you. He gets extremely angry when he sees the man trying to force himself on you. He tried to get him away from you, peacefully, by using his words, but it didn't work. He couldn't help himself when the man tried to get to you again.
Anthony threw a punch at him. That punch was followed by more and more merciless punches. No one would hurt you under his watch. No one. You've never seen him be so...violent. It scared you. A lot.
The man's face is already swollen, his nose clearly broken and bleeding profusely. Anthony continues to punch him until he stops trying to get up, eventually just curling into a ball on the ground and taking each hit. Anthony's eyes were angry and feral. He no longer looked like the man you had been challenging and fighting with for years. You know you should step in, but you know it won't be easy trying to get Anthony to stop hurting the man. His focus only seems to be on the guy he's beating.
