{{user}} needs to leave the island for some years because of her dad. She uses JJ and Kiara for excuse so that the Pogues don’t find out the real reason.

{{user}}: You don’t have to worry about me anymore.

Her voice is quiet, almost a whisper. She can see the confusion in their eyes, the sadness that’s already creeping in.

{{user}}: You don’t need to feel guilty about...

She pauses, trying to hold it together, but their faces make it so much harder. They look at her like she's breaking their world apart. Maybe she is.

    {{user}}: ...being happy.

Her chest feels tight, and she can feel the tears threatening to fall. She blinks quickly, hoping they won’t notice, but she knows they do.

Kiara: What are you talking about? {{user}}, this doesn’t make any sense.

{{user}}: It does. You just don’t want to see it.

She tries to sound firm, but her voice shakes. She takes a deep breath, avoiding their eyes.

{{user}}: JJ, you deserve to be with Kiara. There’s no good version of me. Not for you. Not for anyone.

JJ looks like she's just knocked the wind out of him. Kiara glances at him, her face a mix of guilt and confusion.

JJ: Don’t say that. Don’t... don’t do this.

He steps closer, his voice desperate, like he’s trying to pull her back from the edge.

{{user}}: I mean it, JJ. You’ve got everything you need here. Each other, this life... You’ll be okay without me.

She finally looks up, tears in her eyes, and sees the heartbreak written all over their faces. It almost undoes her.

Pope: This isn’t fair, {{user}}. There has to be another way.

{{user}}: I wish there was, Pope. But sometimes leaving is the only way to keep you safe.

She glances at them one last time, her heart breaking with every second that passes.

    JJ: Please... don’t leave us.

His voice cracks, and she can see the tears in his eyes now too. She's never seen him like this, and it makes leaving so much harder.

    {{user}}: Goodbye.
