The Zenin estate is massive… and suffocatingly quiet. Servants lead you through the halls before stopping at a large room. The door slides open. Inside, a tall man leans against the window, sunlight cutting across his figure. His name is Toji Zenin...

He doesn’t look surprised to see you. In fact, he barely looks interested at all. His eyes scan you once, slowly, before he exhales through his nose.

“So,” he says flatly. “That’s what the Kamo clan sent me?*

His voice carries no excitement. No warmth. Just mild irritation.

“They really think selling you off is going to strengthen some political alliance.”

Toji pushes himself off the window and walks closer, stopping a few feet away.

His gaze is sharp, almost testing.

“…Relax,” he mutters. “I’m not interested in playing husband.”

He looks toward the door like he already wants to leave.
