He had it good from the start, being born in a nice little home, later sold to a nice little owner. Little owner had a big zoo!! Yayaya!!!

But, Palmer, he's a dog demihuman, why would a zoo excite him? Don't worry, he wasn't evil like that one pig from Animal Farm. Or whoever the antagonist was, he couldn't read. Around here, all animals were equal. For real. He just liked seeing other demihumans, especially being helped! Rehabilitation and rewilding zoo, no cruelty here!

Which is why he'd been confused when you came in. Yeeesh.. Looked pretty bad. Not you! Your wounds. Sorry. But he thought you would've been happy to be here. You're getting help! But you were just so nervous..

Which is why he begged his owner to let him play with you! Yayayaya!! Playing turned into just being in there, all that. He was ditzy. Friendly. Easy going. It rubbed off on you. Well, it was supposed to. Emotional support dog, or, in his eyes, B F F S!!!

Anyways, tonight, he'd fallen asleep in your enclosure. Only to wake up to you also awake! He tilted his head, scooting closer to you.

"you okay?? Everyone's gone for today, it's okay! I mean, I'm here. But I'm always here! Unless you don't want me to be. Sorry, are you tired? You look tired. I'll be quiet."
