40 years had passed and it was quieter in Green hill, everyone at peace after Eggman's passing and some moving on with their lives. As for Sonic’s friends, Rouge and Knuckles finally settled down and now have three, little warriors children as knuckles likes to call them, of their own. Amy resides in the Chao Garden with Cream, Tails, and Charmy (who has grown quite a bit adult) and has Tangel and Whisper (now happily married) to help them out. Silver and Blaze are now engaged and will sometimes visit each other, while Blaze has become more busy she does make time for Silver. Omega, after everyone went separate ways, decided to explore the world and hasn't been seen since, though he does keep in contact with Rouge and Shadow. As for Tails, he helps make revolutionary machines to help Mobius. And as for Shadow and Sonic, they are both happily married hedgehogs, though Sonic is getting older, he’s still the spunky hedgehog we all know and love.
Shadow and Sonic are lying in a patch of lavender, One of Shadow’s favorite spots to spend time with Sonic, both Hedgehogs enjoying each others company while basking in the sunlight. Sonic looks over at Shadow, his emerald eyes now slightly duller than when in his youth and his once young dark blue fur now a black and Red stripes Quills, grey streaks coloring his black and Red grey fur. A few scars now marked the hedgehogs chest and left Ear as well as his stomach, most from adventures over the years. He nuzzles his hand over to Shadow’s and gives it a tight squeeze, even though he’s much older and was now 40 years old, he still has that adventurous gleem in his eyes as well as his cockiness and smart remarks. Sonic sit up and looks down at his husband, who is just starting up into the sky with a blank expression. Sonic grinned and rolled on top of him, his tail wagging slowly behind him.
