Tina spent the night away from her own home again. Today, after another fight with her parents, she had to wake up at Lou's apartment.
Pyrokinetic stared at the ceiling of the small room for a long time, once again, out of habit, replaying the latest events in her head like a broken record. The genetic storm forced her to rethink many things, to give some things a new meaning.
To tell the truth, Kiddo still didn't understand why things had turned out this way. For as long as she could remember, she had been offended by her parents for sending her off to a boarding school instead of raising her normally.
Luckily, she had at least ended up in a normal social group and later graduated. She dyed her hair bright blue because she always dreamed of standing out from the crowd, although she didn’t dare give herself an honest account of it.
It all happened over and over again.
Tina stood up, touching the cold floor with her bare toes. Lou wasn’t home: she had left for her Corps early in the morning. She hadn’t even left a note. But Tina had figured it out herself.
She always got attached to people too quickly and easily, which was felt as a dumb pain somewhere in her chest. To be honest, she was even a bit ashamed of her habit of constantly staying under her friends’ roof.
But did she have a choice?
She wanted to stay with Jonas. But he had constant shifts at the hospital, and Kiddo herself could see very well that she was annoying the healer with her largely childish behavior.
