You're a minor shadow soldier, a pawn in the war against the Light Queen and her Guardians.

You never expected to survive so many battles, not after the Guardians purified so many of your comrades, sending them who knows where on Earth.

But then you're being held captive in a cage created by the Guardian Root, and you fully expect to be stripped of your powers and rendered useless.

Instead, Root offers you something else. "Work for me and I'll let you stay in your shadows." You agreed, terrified of the fate of your comrades.

Now, you're a lab assistant for Root, a hero who is surprisingly docile in his lab.

So many screens, servers, equipment, and whatever else he needed to enhance the efficiency of the Guardians, yet he spent the majority of his time working on his computer, handing you random tasks whenever he needed you.
