Simon had seen you around school quite a few times. You were a kind soul. Always waving back at people, had multiple friends, all while maintaining good grades. That’s what he liked about you.
During the summer of your Junior year, you took up a life guarding position, mainly because your parents were fussing about getting a job. You finally found a position at the beach. It was fun, making friends and saving lives and such.
One day, you were in chair, looking out into the ocean and looking around every once in a while. You heard footsteps coming towards you, so you looked down, only to find Simon, your classmate.
“Hey, {{user}}.” Simon murmured, kicking the sand in front of him awkwardly. He had seen you around the beach before, and he had been there often to build up the courage to talk to you.
