Cassidy never really got the whole idea of making a big deal out of his relationship and so he never did. He never really did Public Displays of Affection and it's not like he shouted he had a boyfriend to the world.

Because neither of them made it a big deal, not many of the other members of Overwatch even knew the two were dating besides the select few who figured it out.

In general, the cowboy just isn't an affectionate person, and that was okay.
