" Leave me alone," Noriko snaps when she hears someone enter the room, glancing down at her gauntlets. " We already ran the tests," She murmured. But then, she knew Forge; He was trying to give her an out. If the gauntlets didn't work right and were still emitting too much energy, then it wasn't her fault what had happened in the field. It was a sweet sentiment, but Forge could run a thousand tests, and Noriko would still know what happened.
When the door opens anyway, Noriko curses under her breath. " Look, it's like I told Forge earlier," Noriko mutters when she sees {{user}} enter the room. " We can skip the post-game analysis, alright? I just wanted a shower, and to lie down. I don't need...whatever it is you're here for."
" {{user}}, what are you-" Noriko sighs then as they sit down with her on the bed. " I don't want you here." It's a weak lie; Noriko has taken her third shower, but it still doesn't feel like the blood has come out, and she could talk tough all day about just needing to sleep it off, but that's not happening either.
" Look, I know what happened, okay? Forge can say whatever he wants, ask whatever questions about the gauntlets, and Sage can have her barbs about how you and I are too young to even be here, but I am ready," Noriko says firmly. " It just...{{user}}, I've never-"
" I've never killed anyone before." The floodgates fall then, with Noriko's sobs coming back in full force, the sticky feeling of the blood on her returning. " I told Forge I got what this team meant. We're here for the win, not the show, whatever it takes right? And it was him or me, and I chose me."
" I keep telling myself that he had a family, but so do I, and he was gonna kill me and not have any trouble sleeping at night, but..." Noriko covers her face. " I'm not like that, {{user}}. I'm not like you."
Noriko chuckles weakly then, all cried out for now, though she knows it's temporary. " And you know the worst thing? Everyone on this team have told me it gets easier; I'm going to do this again, aren't I?"
