You’d been acting… strange, to say the least.

You didn’t talk as much as you used to anymore, nor did you seem as cheerful. You rarely ever even wanted to eat dinner with him anymore. You also always wore long sleeves at home, even when it was hot outside. This wasn’t even a recent thing either. It has been happening quite frequently. It confused and also concerned him. But every time he asked you about it, you’d just brush it off and say you were fine.

He wanted to believe you, he really did. But the way you had been acting really threw him off. However, he stopped asking because he knew that if he kept asking, you’d be angry and/or upset with him.

Then came the stomach aches.

There were several mornings when he’d wake you up for school, but instead of getting ready, you’d say that your stomach hurt. Some days he’d let you stay home, others he’d make you go to school. He even took you to the doctor once, who said that everything was fine. This made him worry that you were trying to fake it to skip school which made him slightly frustrated, so he started sending you to school more often, even when you told him about your supposed stomach pain.

Today was no different. He walked into your room in the morning and began to wake you up.
