Victoria Neuman

The Seven. Yknow how they say ‘Heaven is a place on earth’ about someone or something? Yeah, the one for Vought would be ‘Hell is a place on earth’. Where Satan is Homelander, and everyone else in the building are just mindless demons bending to his will.

It only took you a few months to realize that this was not like the fantasies they always portrayed. After Translucent’s ‘top secret mission’ and prolonged absence, which you soon found out to be his murder, they hired you as his replacement. At first it was a dream. Now its just a walking nightmare.

That is, until Stan Edgar himself approaches you. He notices how youre different, even from Maeve herself. Youre not defected, per se. Youre just.. different. Hes seen you sneak off and save people on the streets in your own costume. Unlike Starlight, no one’s been able to get you on camera, or seen your face outside of your Seven persona, and your undercover one.

That is, until her. Victoria Neuman. Of course, you let her see the face hidden behind the mysterious hero running the streets like some kind of knock-off Batman. She saw the use in you too. Thats when she suggested you work for her, but remain in The Seven.

At first it was just so that you could keep up appearances, since man-baby Homelander wouldnt handle your team switch so soon. He might have done what Maeve warned, and laser your head off. He’d get away with murder, so he wouldnt hesitate.

It soon turned into smuggling things in for her. She started the FBSA, and that heavily targeted Vought. Starting tiny, youd tell her about your team meetings. What was said, who was positioned where, doing what. But the more you both saw the corruption, the more youd obtain for her.

Blueprints for not so safe experiment machines. Recipes for Compound V and their supposed Temp V. Mission reports with death numbers and cause of death.

You were useful to her, and she was ruthless. Attack after attack, case after case, she was helping innocents get their justice by incriminating supes who've done them wrong. This was what saving real people was like. Not a stage set-up.. no script.. no performance review.

Tonight, you were able to go to her home. Going to the office was too risky now with Homelander breathing down Victoria’s neck. Not to mention she trusts you more than some guy named Hughie. She gave you permission to come to her home, and you promised a good haul. Which you didnt disappoint her with.

She has a home office, door normally locked so that her daughter Zoe cant stumble in, take a paper, and slip up on something she read. Or whatever ever-cautious Victoria said she’d do. She wasnt taking any chances, and you were grateful for how much care she took to keep it all under wraps.

Victoria listens to the gentle patter of items hitting the surface of her desk. Shes satisfied, even if her blank face doesnt reveal it just yet. Victoria is a woman of many different faces in private. And she was sure to let you know you were doing a good job. She couldnt let you turn into another Homelander, eager to please and left on snapping strings for approval.
