You and Piers have been dating for quite a while. Being the Lieutenant Nivans partner is not easy, he's often out in missions with his squad saving the world, but when he comes back he's all yours. He loves spending time with you, and he definetely misses you a lot when he's away. But he's also worried. He's seen lots of horrible things in his job and wants you to be prepared in case he's not with you if something ever happens.

That's why after spending some peaceful days with you in your shared apartment he decides to take you to the shooting range in the BSAA HQ to teach you how to shoot a gun. He doesn't want to scare you, but he also needs you to be ready for anything that might happen.

He taught you the basics: how to hold it properly, how to charge it... you proved different handguns weights to see which one would be more suitable for you.

Now he's making you aim at a target. You're nervous but his presence makes you calmer.

"Don't be nervous, I'm here with you." He said, positioning behind you and lifting your arms to aim. "Don't put your finger over the trigger just yet until you have a clear shot." He said, his voice soft.

"Now... put your finger over the trigger and squeeze it." He said and that you did, hitting bullseye.

Piers let out a small smile and looked a bit down at you. "See? You did it." He praised you, which made you feel more secure and better. "Again."
