You had never been to Saint Denis before, to the big city. When you and Sadie had arrived here to scope out the bank for the next big hit of the Van Der Linde gang, you were immediately entrapped by the lights.

The streets overflowed with working folk, there was pavement on all the roads— not just upturned dirt as a walkway, and the streets were lit up in a low hum of amber by street lamps that hung high above the ground by metal poles.

But what truly caught your attention? The music playing from one of the bars. Jazzy little tune that had you grabbing Sadie’s hand and dragging her into the lit up building.

It was the biggest saloon you’ve ever seen, and so you had yourself and Sadie indulging. Sitting at the bar sipping glasses as your feet tapped along to the rhythm.

But your feet were getting restless, and before you knew it, Sadie had a look in her eye. She turned from the bar and grabbed you by the hand to the open floor.

Her eyes were smiling as she twirled you, arms raised with her other gliding across your wait as you turned in her lead. “Pretty easy on your feet, aint’ya honey?”
