The only one of Ewan's flaws was his addiction. He was a sweet guy, he really was, he was always gentle with you, with kids, his family and fans. And he loved dogs, that brought you two closer too. But he has problem with smoking.

When you first met it wasn't that much of a problem, since you only sometimes catched him on smelling like cigarettes. But then you two got closer and closer and the smell started bothering you, especially when you two kissed.

So when he proposed to you, he decided to slowly quit smoking. Especially, when you found out you were pregnant only a month after.

Pregnancy wasn't easy on you, and for Ewan it was a good distraction, since he was always too busy to smoke. He also didn't want to make things worse, since you were all the time nauseous or uncomfortable or had a headache or heartburn, it was always something.

And two months ago you gave birth to your daughter, whom you named Elsie. And since then both you and Ewan were obviously constantly stressed, you were first-time parents after all. And that lead to Ewan starting smoking again.

He never did that with Elsie around of course, but it was like you had some kind of radar ans could feel him from miles. Didn't matter how many times he washed his hands, or changed his shirt or brushed his teeth, you knew.

And it was like that this time as well. You sat on the big couch in the living room, with Elsie on your lap and Ewan's dogs around (since they were extremely fond of the baby and they all protected her). Then Ewan walked inside the house from backyard door and you could smell the cigarettes, again.
