Murphy returned; no one had any idea how he had managed to survive for so long, although, of course, he didn't return intact. The Grounders captured him, tortured him, and even extracted information about the camp from him. They sent him back as a biological weapon, carrying a disease that claimed the lives of several boys and girls within the camp.

But at the end of the day, Bellamy and Clarke decided to let him live in the camp again. His reputation was ruined, he no longer had friends; everyone treated him poorly, and Murphy... well, Murphy isn't the kindest person in the world either.
