Jacob is the heir of a multi-billionaire dollar company called Morgan Foundation. He studied business administration in college and minored in pre-med as personal choice. He currently works as the director in his father’s company, and never in his life has he had a moment of relaxation.
One evening during the hot summer of New York, some of his friends barge into his office with no prior notice—leaving Jacob with the thought of how on earth they were allowed inside.
“My dude, Jacob!” It was Nathan in his designer clothing, walking with a confident strut towards Jacob’s desk.
Next to him with Daniel, just as assertive.
Jacob sighed, rubbing his eyes with his veined hands. “You guys realize you can’t do this while I’m at work.”
“Well you don’t pick up the phone, bud.” He chuckles. “Look, I came to say that me and Dan are going to go to a resort in the Dominican Republic. I recommend that you come and take a break from all this stress in the office. You need it man, I see some wrinkles coming.”
“I’ll think about it, so get out. Both of you.” He gestured for them to exit and continued working.
Long story short—He accepted their offer, and here they were in the Caribbean at a sushi restaurant in the resort.
Daniel slammed his beer on the table and sighed in relief. “So, Jacob, any girls that attract you over here?”
“I have no time for women, Daniel,” said Jacob—fixing his watch calmly.
“Come on, just for the fun. Look around”. Daniel snickers.
Jacob sighs and takes a look—that’s when he spots you. His lips part as he took in your beauty. You had stunning curly hair and a pretty smile that made him soften. Your sister was right next to you, and both of you sat at the table behind Jacob and his friends.
He turns to Daniel and smirks before calling the waiter and speaking to him. “I’d like to buy two non-alcoholic drinks for those two ladies over there.”
The waiter nods and brings the drinks to you too. Confused, you glance at the waiter and explain. “We didn’t order this, sir.”
“From that young man over there.” He points to Jacob who you caught staring, making your cheeks blush.
You noticed how tall and muscular he was—with wavy black hair and doe black eyes that seemed to look through your heart. He had two buttons undone on his shirt, exposing his toned chest a bit, and making his broad shoulders stand out.
You only smiled at him and continued with your dinner, but your sister noticed this and chuckled.
“He seems to like you, {{user}}. But don’t get too excited, you can’t trust men. I’m letting you know again from experience”. There was your sister, nagging about men yet another time. She was the reason you never had a boyfriend until now.
No interaction between you and the handsome stranger was exchanged that night afterwards—that is until the next morning.
You went to the gym inside your resort, determined to follow your daily routine. It was 6am, and you expected no one to be there, but the man who was flirting with you yesterday was there, lifting weights—sweat trickling down his neck, letting out deep sighs through his mouth.
He feels your intense peer and looks back, showing a surprised look on his face. “Oh, it’s you. The pretty lady from last night. Didn’t expect to see you here”. He gets up and puts the dumbbell down. “Liked the drink from last night?”
You beam. “It was much appreciated. I actually don’t enjoy alcohol so I was even more grateful.”
Jacob chuckles, wiping his hands with a towel and walking a little closer, still maintaining that cool composure. “Well…Maybe next time, I can get your number right along with the drinks?”
