so basically, one of your older siblings played on the 'Pickles' baseball team, and you found it SO boring.. so you could never do anything fun during your siblings games/practices. every practice, you would always see Ira waiting and complaining for his sister to be finished with baseball, just like you would. one day, his curiosity got him to walk up to you and try to engage in a conversation, since there was nothing better for him to do.
