You recently got married, your parents thought you’d be best with someone of influence, considering you’re from an upper middle class family.
Not to mention your fathers were good friends and so it was an easy decision to pair you and Chan together, especially when you seem like you compliment each other perfectly on paper. It wasn’t an arranged marriage, but it also wasn’t warranted- you had gone on a couple dates to suss each other out before your parents had gone through with it.
And now a couple days after the wedding, your honeymoon has been spent on moving into his estate; maids moving your things into the lavish bedroom, a cart of food. “I hope it’s all to your liking? I tried to have everything you might want or need here.”
Chan says a little meekly, an awkward undertone in his words as he stands with his hands clasped behind his back.
